    Ditto, Old Mike.
When I had BT, it was a pain as I could not turn it off. Now that I don't the icon remains in the notification area.
I am going to over look it. Nice programming and developing wouldn't you say.

    Hey Brink.

Which option 1 & 2 you referring to?
It would be option 1 & 2 in the tutorial on the first page here. :)

I've tried those in the past Shawn and they never worked. I will admit I have not tried them recently.

But ...how to you explain a computer with NO Bluetooth at all, having the Bluetooth icon in its action menu?? (notification area)
That fix for the 2nd computer with No Bluetooth, is reboot a 2nd time, then it does not display. :)

I'm not sure why in that situation either. Since there's not a Bluetooth device to disable in Device Manager, disabling the Bluetooth services may work to remove it from the Action Center instead.

Just for testing I did turn on the Bluetooth device on the Computer that DOES have Bluetooth. Then rebooted.
Then go to all settings, click on Devices, then click on Bluetooth, and Can't turn it off from that screen, as its constantly searching for a Bluetooth device, so no other option can be chosen. :)

Thats why the only thing that works for this HP computer, which is only 2 years old, and a clean install, is to disable the Bluetooth service in Device manager. THAT does work. Thats why I've always said its a MS issue with some computers.

The 2nd Computer with NO Bluetooth at all ....their IS nothing to turn off ....I've looked. Takes 2 reboots, then the Bluetooth icon is gone. lol

I tried all except the registry and it is still there. I think the upgrade to 10 from 7 removed almost all of BT except the notification which cannot be turned off. I have looked in the device manager and searched everywhere but there is no Bluetooth.

    Peter,

Just to make sure this is for the correct Bluetooth icon, please post a screenshot showing it.

    BT

I had to take a picture with my camera and use Drive to get it to you. You will notice that BT and location are lighter than the others. In reality they are light blue as oppose to dark blue.
