Well, here is a new variant of the error. I don't have any Bluetooth device at all, but it is popping up as ON in the Settings Menu. Any idea of how to get rid of it?

No Services are running that has anything to do with Bluetooth.

We know Burgurne, its a Microsoft bug, and guess we will have to wait for MS to fix this in a future update.

Don't forget to send feedback to Microsoft about this to help get it fixed faster. :)

I confirm I still have the same problem, Bluetooth icon lit up when bluetooth is off. No matter how many Microsoft updates came my way and uninstalling and re-installing of the bluetooth driver did not solve my issue. Clicking on it and then clicking on it again switches it off. This can also be done by toggling Airplane mode on and off. Will upvote this issue in Microsoft Feedback.

Their is a temporary fix that might work for you if you want to try. This DOES work on my Desktop Computer, would think it would for a lap top also.
1 Go to Device manager and DISABLE Bluetooth, Do Not remove!
    2 Turn USB suspend off
3 Set Hard Drive or SSD to Never
4 Turn Link State Power Management off
Settings 2 thru 4 can be found in your Power Management Settings.
Then click on "Change settings that are currently unavailable"
Then Reboot your Computer. This does work, may come back if you shut OFF your computer, then turn it back on, if it does, just a reboot will turn it off again.

Thanks OldMike65. Did exactly as you instructed. After rebooting, it does not come on but if you shut down and turn back on bluetooth icon lights up again. Clearly a windows 10 bug. Probably some registry setting turns it on after a cold start-up.

Yes it did the same thing for me also, on a shut computer off .....but after a week or 2, it has not turned the Bluetooth on no matter how I turn computer off, or reboot. and YES it IS a Windows bug for sure. :)

    Hello
I have Windows 10 x 64 and when I upgraded from 7>8>10 I was told I would lose Bluetooth. Is this the reason it is always on in the action center?
I have tried everything but it stays on.
BTW, I just removed a VM.
Also and importantly this is the first a.m. that I have seen it on. Usually it is off.
How can it be on if I don't have bluetooth and why was it on before for months?
    Thank you
    Peter
