This fixes sfc /scannow for me in Windows 10 when it refuses to run...cut & paste the following to a textfile named RepairSFC.txt (or whatever you like) and then rename RepairSFC.txt to RepairSFC.cmd, and then right-click it and "run as admin" and before your very eyes SFC will immediately begin functioning again...

    @echo off
    cls
    setlocal
    set root=%SystemRoot%\WinSxS\%PROCESSOR_ARCHITECTURE%_microsoft-windows-servicingstack
    for /f "delims=" %%A in ('dir /ad /b %root%-onecore*') do set "from=%SystemRoot%\WinSxS\%%A"
    for /f "delims=" %%A in ('dir /ad /b %root%_*') do set "to=%SystemRoot%\WinSxS\%%A"
    takeown /F %to%\* /R /A 1>nul
    icacls %to%\*.* /T /grant administrators:F 1>nul
    echo on
    echo F|xcopy /C /R /O /Y %from%\wrpint.dll %to%\wrpint.dll
    pause

    Hello Thorrr,

You have nothing to worry about. Your issue is with the opencl.dll file like in the blue note box at the top of the tutorial. You can safely ignore this. :)

Hello libremaster, and welcome to Ten Forums. :)

From your sfcdetails, it looks like it messed up the shortcuts in your All apps list in your Start menu.

Since this has just happened, you might see if doing a system restore using a restore point dated before this happened may sort it for you.

Thanks for the help. If it's just that I'll leave it like that. Since I have system restore turned off

Yep, that's all it is for. Just the shortcuts in your All apps.

What about rolling back with a system image backup? I hope you do regularly backup your system.

Hi. I have followed all the steps detailed in the various options, including running sfc /scannow multiple times (both online and offline) and the DISM tool (which came back fine), yet I am still unable to clean up the sfc scan results, which as you can see from the Log copy I have attached, are prodigiously corrupted. I was hoping you might take a look at the Log and let me know what you think before I proceed to "more dire and drastic measures." Thank you for your help.

Hello dlista72, and welcome to Ten Forums. :)

Your sfc details show that the Event Viewer shortcut in the "C:\ProgramData\Microsoft\Windows\Start Menu\Programs\Administrative Tools" folder has a hash mismatch and considered corrupted. This item is also corrupted in the component store and is why SFC is not able to repair this shortcut.

Personally, it's not worth trying to repair. Especially if it still works. Otherwise, you could run the DISM command mentioned in the blue note box under step 6 in OPTION THREE to try and manually repair it.
