How to Change the Size of Taskbar Thumbnails in Windows 10

Windows includes a special application desktop toolbar called the taskbar that shows on the bottom of a display screen by default. The taskbar allows you to find, see, open, and switch between your apps. You can also see the date and time, system icons, and items running in the background on the notification area. You can make the taskbar look how you want, manage your calendar, pin your favorite apps to it, change the size, change location on screen, and specify how taskbar buttons group together when you have more than one window open.

When you hover over the icon or button on the taskbar of opened items, it will show a thumbnail preview of the opened windows or tabs for that item.

This tutorial will show you how to change the size of taskbar thumbnails for your account in Windows 10.

    Hello @pietcorus2,

I just tested this in build 18219, and it's still working for me.

Just to verify, did you do step 7 to apply your registry changes?

The setting would only get applied to the current account, so no need to be an administrator to apply.

It's possible that Classic Shell could be interfering.

If it still doesn't work for you after turning off Classic Shell, then post back with a screenshot showing Registry editor for this to see if anything may stand out.

I don't see anything wrong with your registry settings.

Do you have any other 3rd party tweaking type program installed that may have a setting overriding or preventing this?

Only System Font Size Changer ( all values are set at "7 " )...........
    These reg-keys just dont work , no matter Classic Shell enabled/disabled , admin-acc yes/no .
