I think I cleaned out my windows.old via desk cleanup too soon for version 9879. I only have my 9600 ESD in install.cmd file. Oh well, wait until the next one to do it right.
BTW, direct link to version 9879 ISO:

EDIT: Dammit. Should have looked more closely...

When I attempted this after 9879 was first downloaded it failed. I went ahead via Update channel and had disaster with OneDrive not being able to find Desktop which I always root with other User folders in OneDrive which I root in E.
so I'm going to try again to Clean Install. Should I be able this time to create an ISO?
You should find the 9879 ESD file in C:\RecoveryImage in both of these cases, at least I have had it every time:
- Clean installed 9860 upgraded to 9879
- A 9860 upgraded from 9841 > before starting downloading the 9879 upgrade, delete the folder C:\RecoveryImage and file C:\$UPG$PBR.MARKER
Im downloading now to a clean installed 9879 which issued some kind of Recov partition at front of drive.
9879 was in place upgraded. 9860 was clean reinstalled after in place of 9879 went belly up as described.
I'm downloading ESD now for 9879.
Worked great. Thanks, Kari. I extracted install.wim from the completed ISO and swapped it into my flash stick installer.
