    Thank you, very helpful, it works on me with disk cleanup,,
    I have very big size windows old (about 20Gb), cause reinstall too much (try some build win10) witout fresh install

    Cheers. This finally worked. After taking ownership, you can even just delete it like any other folder. Saved 16GB on my dads (who is 82 yrs) laptop.

    Couldn't remove it until I did a system restore an tried cleanmgr again.

    Oh well, at least its gone now!

    In that case, boot from your installation media to open a command prompt at boot to see if you may be able to delete the folder. This way it's outside the OS environment when trying.
