That's ok Bill. I hope you get to feeling better soon.

You should be able to download an ISO using either option below.

As long as you are able to sign in to any administrator account on the PC, you will be able to do a repair install.
I signed in the MS admin account, verified, and got the attached when I tried to DL the ISO About ready to toss the towel. Any other ideas?Repair Install Windows 10 with an In-place Upgrade-capture.jpg

You don't need to sign in to your Microsoft account online at Microsoft to be able to download a Windows 10 ISO file though.

Will try it this way. All my accounts are admin so shouldn't be a problem. In the meantime, I did another search of the registry and found two mentions. Now that I found them what do I do with them. Guess I had a misspell the first search.

    ADDED INFO:
    Didn't help any. see attached

Then you should be able to download the ISO and do a repair install.

Wish you were here in Fresno, Brink. I could then prove it to you.
I still don't know the significance of the two folders I asked about several replies ago
Also, a\couple of replies ago I indicated that I found the "dan" logon in the registry , two mentions, and asked now that I found them I didn't know what to do, and asked for your advice. 2 attachments were included.

I thought the main goal was to download an ISO for a repair install.

As for the two profile folders, it depends on what the answer is to what I asked below. I'll try to help though. :)

    Windows 10 Home build 10240

Old HP Laptop, kind of like me, went thru 90% of Nov upgrade with a "Power Outage" and battery went dead shortly before last restart.

After several Answer Desk failed attempts, changing this and changing that, I gave up since their changes would no longer even allow an attempt to install 1511, as it previously did.

Finally found this thread and joined immediately.

I can't seem to find a Windows 10 build 10240 repair and reinstall method, if there is one, as I understand you have to repair in "Like Kind", correct?

    Thanks, Charlie
