F5orF6 + Function key requre stroke for 2 point volume change.

Win 10 ver 20H2 Sudden laptop change:

Windows 10. Function key + F5 or F6, require multiple key punches to activate sound volume change, a 2 point change up or down with each key punch. Also cannot delete a list of email by holding down delete key. Must do it one by one.
    Appreciate advice. Thank you.

    Separate questions.

Using the hardware/keyboard to adjust volume on all the computers with the feature do requires additional presses to increase or decrease the volume.

Two functions for deleting, click the first in a list, hold down the Shift key and click the last one, all will be highlighted and can delete. The other is hold down the Ctrl key and click other files to highlight in a random order then delete.

What happens if you hold down the Fn-F5/Fn-F6 for several seconds?

Thank you. The immobile volume bar comes up. It does not change.

Then your computer maker has imposed that hardware limitation.

I suggest you ask Clevo support.
If they have a user forum then try that as well.

    Best of luck,

    Welcome to TenForums.

It's really worth making time to browse through the Tutorial index - there's a shortcut to it at the top of every page.
    - At the foot of the Tutorial index is a shortcut to download it as a spreadsheet.
    - I download a new copy each month.
    - By downloading it as a spreadsheet I can benefit from Excel's excellent filtering capabilities when I search for topics of interest.
    - Tutorials are also listed by category at Tutorials - there's also a shortcut to that at the top of every page.
    - Both tutorial lists are searchable.
    - You can also search for TenForumsTutorials in many general search engines, such as Google, by adding site:tenforums.com/tutorials after your search term. For example,
    taskbar toolbars site:tenforums.com/tutorials

You can search TenForums using the search box in the top-right corner of all TenForums webpages or using Advanced Search - TenForums
    - You can also search TenForums threads in many general search engines, such as Google, by adding site:tenforums.com after your search term. For example,
Search for drivers by HardwareID site:tenforums.com
    - [This is what the search box in the top-right corner of TenForums webpages does automatically]

Thank you. I very sincerely appreciate your response. I’m sure my explanation of the problem is not as astute as it should be.
I have never used control in deleting except selecting random items in a list prior to deleting. I’ve always deleted rapidly sequentially, one after the other as long as I held down delete. So I tried it just now, control/delete prevents deletion from removing any posts, even a single post. Now that just ain’t right.
Right now, writing this reply in Word 365 (before posting in the forum) and holding down delete key it deletes only one character until I punch delete again. Always it deleted until I let the key up.
I have difficulty believing this is separate problem since they occurred simultaneously and had not been present before. I removed the keyboard drivers in device manager without effect.

Part of the problem sounds like - I think- you're not getting an automatic key repeat when holding a key down.

    Try
holding down a key would not repeat. This worked for me:

=> go to settings, ease of access, keyboard, set filter keys to off.

    Turning filter off worked.
I cannot find where I marked it solved.
    Many thanks.

    - to mark it solved- there's a button to click - I think at the bottom.
