Surround sound and audio acoustic cancellation

It seems like a few generations ago, newer sound chips, mainly with the stupid universal realtec drivers,no longer support audio acoustic cancellation and surround sound, I never had an issue with 1150/1151 and AM3 mobos, dose anyone know if any of the mobo brands will work or is this pretty much a lost feature now? Newer motherboards/realtec software only allow audio acoustic cancellation in 2 channel mode. I badly need to prevent PC sound from picking up on the mic, headphones are not an option.

Do any of the older sound cards have this feature? Or is it pretty random, it seemed standard on most motherboards, until drivers were forced through the realtec store.

Arte there any guides to change registry settings, so I can manually toggle the features?

Even when you buy a separate sound card, you won't get AEC in 5.1.

I think that this is what it was all along --- they secretly turned your 5.1 into stereo without telling you while you are on the call. Then secretly turn 5.1 back on after you finished your call.

LOL I use it for streaming, 3.5 mic is nice and clear no fan noise due to noise cancel, and with the PC speakers cancelled out of the mic it made for the best cheap audio setup I could hope for.
