Need to keep re-installing RealTek audio driver. Why?

I frequently lose volume partially or completely. The solution seems to be re-installing the audio driver, but this doesn't last.
Could the problem be with my Logitech speakers or possibly the audio card? Or something else?

Have you checked through ---settings>system>sound---and the available options, including Troubleshoot.
Also Control Panel>devices and printers and RIGHT click on Speakers, then >properties>hardware tab>properties button at bottom right, check through all tabs.
In the search box, type in---dxdiag---and check through the Sound pages.Whilst there, note the full driver details and visit the Realtek site only and download a newer driver if available. If not, then download the driver version BEFORE your current one and use it as a replacement for the installed one and see if that makes any difference.
You can always return to the status quo if none of this works.
