    you're welcome.

MSI also recently released a 6.0.9486.1 version as well on March 17 but they didn't mention it until sometime after March 20th - listed for newly released MSI CreatorPro M16 B13V (B13VI/B13VJ/B13VK) model laptops w/ 13th gen Intel CPUs.
    Nahimic APO4 got updated to 4.9.7.0 -> https://download.msi.com/nb_drivers/...0xa65914fc.zip

again, on the latest update of windows, with the latest built, I got issues. Firstly, IT deleted my current realtek version and replaced it
with one older !! my win built is 19045.2728
why MS ?? Newer updates is in reality DOWNgrade to my system ! That thing gonne so wild those days. If someone knows how to update my
driver to the latest version, let me know.
update ; thankfully, due to hard work and only in 1 hour long, got fixed, and I got my old control panel back(i leave the old if someone needs help about). MS please fix this NOW !!

Both screenshots showed the same driver version.

And it's all the way from 2013 and windows 8 --- not even windows 10.

You don't get to complain that somehow this is Microsoft giving you problems.

Could someone dumb this down for me? Is there a litmus test to know if a given system is stuck on standard/unified/legacy HDA or is capable of UAD/DCH given that the former is basically DOA now?

There don't seem to be helpful model numbers for Realtek that I can see, so maybe we're left to comparing the HWID against a master list somewhere? With dozens of infs in UAD that's easier said than done, but surely there's an easier way.

yes, thats why my mobo dont get supported (is from 2014) , but MS made some fails everytime I update, so
thats why I got aggresive. The first scnshot shows the older/legacy GUI from that driver, and the second the modern.

Best I know of is if your main board is new-ish, ~2018(?) or later, and supports Nahimic, Creative Sound blaster Cinema, etc., then odds are you can use UAD drivers. Personally, I HATE the third party stuff that comes with them and much prefer the older self contained HDA drivers with built in control panel and (not-hijacked) effects.

Disclaimer: on my two B450 boards w/ALC892 chips (Asrock w/Creative, and MSI w/Nahimic):
Realtek HDA 6.0.9273.1 seems to be the latest/last new-ish one.
Realtek HDA 6.0.1.8328 is the last full blown, full functioning one that still lets you set front out/headphones and rear out/speakers as separate devices so both can be plugged in at the same time without the headphones disabling/muting your speakers.

But you only have to check 3 or 4 inf's because if you have a dell computer, there are only 3 or 4 dell infs. And it's going to be fairly easy to figure out that some are labelled for laptop computers (with inf names in sst) and others are for desktop computers. Unless you have one of these weird computer models that were designed by third parties and your HWID will be in the whites inf.

If your HWID matches the 1 of the dell/hp/acer/asus... UAD inf in the MUC, then it will only give you half the picture. You cannot directly install MUC uad drivers. You have to FIND a dell/hp/acer/asus driver (usually from a computer model from a year later) that has your HWID and then install that driver. Then you can use the MUC uad driver to update. Details in my sticky tutorial.

And you should try the 6.0.9175.1 from the first page of this thread.

Did Realtek discontinue driver releases that used regular software instead of Microsoft Store Apps (ie: discontinue the downloads that were bigger than 100MB's)? Seems the last update of this kind was in April 2022.

Also the first URL in the Op can probably be updated to search for Realtek Semiconductor Corp MEDIA 2023
