    check book register

Does anyone know of a program similar to a checkbook register where entries made are added or subtracted automatically?
Years ago Quicken had a simple program available - it worked until I recently did a complete new install of Windows 10. I downloaded a "starter" version of Quicken, but it's far more complicated than the "freebies" they gave away.

Microsoft Office has templates available on their site if you have Excel installed. Most of the Office templates will work with the Free LibreOffice. Quicken used to be simple some years ago but got more complicated over time as people wanted more features but did not want QuickBooks.

Hello Berton, good to hear from you - if you're the Berton that used to respond to many Smart Computing posts and, if I recall, you are from Wyoming. I used to go by Trident, but changes by MS mail and SPs forced me to change names.
Thanks, I had thought of creating a format in MS Excel - guess that's that may be the best route.

Yeah, that be me. I've looked at the Excel template and it's quite similar in format to a printed Register, probably as simple as it gets. Here's a free one I came across recently:

Thanks, again, Berton. I'll check those out tomorrow.
