    Windows 10 apps keep closing

    I use the system apps Mail, Calendar, and Groove Music. Since I first starting using Windows 10 many months ago, these apps keep closing without any indication of why. They close when during active sessions and on awakening they're usually closed. Groove Music will close at times while I'm listening to music. Why is this happening? I kept thinking that system updates would eventually resolve the issue, but they haven't, despite many updates.

    Hello
    Sorry that your dealing with this,
    lets see, if we can get you some help.
    Welcome to Windows-Ten Forums; by the way

    Okay so I'd recommend clearing you system cache as well as App-Store cache and restart.
    Sometimes these apps just get weighted down and this may make them close or misbehave.
    as for the updates fixing it, it's possible. I mean my store app and xbox app would freeze and then
    this recent update boom, fixed. Also see when your system was defragmented; I know this may not
    seem like a fix, but sometimes system files get moved around when windows updates.
    Give the recommendations a try.

    If your still dealing with these apps misbehaving see below;

    Questions?(Answering these will help us; HELP YOU BETTER!)
    Other then the email app,groove; are any other apps misbehaving?
    Is your system a windows ten purchase, or an upgrade?
    How long have you been dealing with these specific apps closing?
    You said that you have had recent updates and it has failed to fix it;
    when was the last update you remember that they worked?
    Have any of the apps froze before closing?

    Try these simple fixes and report what happens:
    1. Uninstall then reinstall the offending apps
    2. Run the Windows Store Apps Troubleshooter at Control Panel\All Control Panel Items\Troubleshooting\All Categories as an Administrator
    3. Run sfc /scannow from an admin command prompt to check/repair system files
    4. Try running those apps in another user account. If they work OK in a different account then you may have a corrupted user profile. There is advice on the forum how to move a user profile if needed.

    Yeah what Steve C, said but remember if you mess up something don't panic: use system restore as soon as your aware that something internally important may have been accidentally deleted. If you were still dealing with the problem these would have been my next recommendations. I wait sometimes as I don't know what each windows user, tech knowledge is so I have folks try the simple stuff first.
