    Macrium VSS problem (again new build 1607 with updates)

    Hi there

    The latest batch of Windows updates on latest build 1607 seems to be causing me a few problems

    Latest one -- VSS fails when running Macrium -- although backup seems to continue successfully.

    Should I just ignore the error.

    After taking the backup I'm reverting to a W7 system and then going to do an upgrade to W10 - this will see if there was something broken in my W10 system or if the fault really is in the latest load of updates. If those are at fault I've got Windows build 1511 version again which I'll run until these are fixed.

    Cheers

    Hi there
    @Cliff S

    Thanks for the info.

    I think something on my system has got broken so I'll restore my W7 PRO system and re-do the W10 upgrade - this should bring in the latest updates. I haven't got time to try and resolve the problem as I have a few other strange issues like File explorer showing weird results etc.

    Can't detect malware or anything untoward - but I never really trust those things 100% anyway - they are OK for some situations but I think if you've got weird machine issues it's better to start again than try and repair some really weird issues !!!.

    Cheers

    You're welcome, sorry I wasn't any more help, but from reading your other posts about your system, it's also set up quite a bit more complicated, than my 3 internal disks.
