    Hello, everyone.

I'm trying to install ICE-2.0.3-for-64-bit-Windows.msi to the default location

Are you installing the right version of ICE - 32 bit or 64 bit for your OS? Check you are running the installer as an Administrator and that your antivirus isn't blocking the installer. Also check your system files by running sfc /scannow. Can you install other software?

The results of sfc /scannow say "Windows Resource Protection did not find any integrity violations."

I was able to install the MS Live 2012 software suite, although Live Messenger wouldn't run because it thinks I'm offline for some reason. Installation of MS Live 2011 failed because it thought I was offline, but I think that was bad compatibility.

I am running Win10 64-bit, and it is the 64-bit version I'm trying to install. I tried to run the installer as administrator. I didn't think about my anti-virus.

Because MS Live has Photo Gallery, which has the feature I was looking for in ICE, I'm considering dropping this, although I should probably see it through on principle, in case someone else has this issue.

I suspect you may have a configuration problem on your PC. You have several options from here:
    1. Do nothing
    2. Try System Restore to an earlier time
    3. Recover from backup (if you have one)
    4. Perform a repair install (keeps programs & data)
    5. Perform a clean install (loses programs & data)

There are tutorials on the forum how to do the above, Please ensure you backup your system and data.

Thank you for your time and assistance. Because I found an alternative solution to my original issue and the problem isn't otherwise affecting me, I think I'll go with the first option. The others feel a bit like going after a fly with an elephant gun because I couldn't find a swatter, after my cat came along and dispatched with the fly.

If I have further problems in the future that I can't get around, I will re-consider your advice.

    Thank you again.
