Recommendation for an alternative file explorer

    Hi All,
Can anyone please give me a recommendation for an alternative file explorer.
I have downloaded a trial version of xplorer2 and it seems quite good. Are their any alternatives?
    Thanks

I've used Total Commander for some time now and works fine but is not free, also have Avanquest PowerDesk Pro 9 on a couple of computers, also not free. The free FreeCommander program looks quite similar.

Yep. I have (and love) Total Commander. I bought it ages ago. The Free version is fully functional. It just shows a nag screen at startup.
FreeCommander is ok too I guess.

Look at Q-DIR. It is Free and I find it does a great job!

I have been using FreeCommanderXE for several years. IMHO it is far better than Total Commander, Qdir, or PowerDesk.

Free Commander is a dual pane file manager which has built in Zip File support (view contents like folders), FTP, an MD5 calculator, the best File Synchronization I have seen, customizable toolbars, and so many more customizations I can't start to list them.

    Check it out at FreeCommanderXE
