For a PDF Reader, I use PDF-XchangeViewer (which is now PDF-Xchange Editor).

For a PDF Printer, I use PDFill It has the best rendering that matches the original page produced by an application that I have found.

It also has an editor and a toolbox to modify existing PDF files.

Acrobat Reader DC is the most recent version of Acrobat reader, which is 2 or 3 versions newer than Reader X.

There are many useful Windows 10 PDF viewers for you to use including Foxit Reader, ApowerPDF, Sumatra PDF, Expert PDF Reader and others. They all can help to view PDF files, rotate and print your files. But it seems that the latter two options fail to combine PDFs.

The PDFill product I mentioned in Post#11 has a tools component which will combine any number of PDF files.

I have just found out, that WPS Office can read PDF.

It has literally zero features, but it opens any PDF in a second and that will do just fine.

    Hi folks
    What's up with you all

EDGE handles PDF - also there's the standard Windows built in feature - Print to PDF which converts documents to PDF which your printer can print if you want a hard copy.

For example just double click on a PDF and EDGE will open it.

You don't need ANY 3rd party software Free or otherwise. OK it doesn't do Rotate or combine but handles basic stuff like zoom, find, go to page etc etc. Should be sufficient for most people.

Edge is a browser and as any browser, it is highly deceptable to vulnerabilities, not just PDF related.

I had used Nitro FREE for years and when my wife bought it it looks like the FREE version did almost everything the paid version does. For scanning...which the Free version does not do, I use NAPS2. It is Free and is great.

Presumably due to the age of the thread.

Most people wouldn't spend nearly 9 months assessing suggestions for a PDF reader...
