Look for more apps is missing from Open With option

hi, it's me again :)

Found another weird issue with the 1803 update in Windows 10. I no longer have the "look for more apps" link in my right click Open With menu. All it shows now is notepad, wordpad, and look for an app in the ridiculous MS Store.

Looking on Goolge hasn't turned up any helpful solutions. I'm hoping someone here may know what i'm overlooking.

I'm running 1803. When I right-click a file, I can find "Open With". At the bottom of the box, after "Search the Store", there is "Choose another app" item. If you scroll to the end of the apps that are suggested, you'll find a link called "More apps". Clicking that gives you more choices, and at the bottom of that there's "Look for another app on this PC", which opens up a file chooser to find an program's executable.

Not sure why it's not working for you, but it seems fine for me with 1803.

I know how to find the option, but thanks anyway. So how do i get it back since it's NOT working for me (and is the whole point of my post)?

Well, OK, so it's not something that's been overlooked. Maybe it's something like what's mentioned in this post on Ten Forums: disappeared - Windows 10 Forums
