It seems facebook app just open & closes right away on the Anniversary edition Version 1607 build 14383.187. I uninstalled & reinstalled app & no dice. I went also again to apps, features. facebook advanced options & reset still no dice. Anyone find a fix to this yet? or just another dud software.
Sorry to hear that but on all my systems with the latest update on Face Book works and opens ok
Have you tried uninstalling it completely from your system including any folders from Programs or Programs x86 on C Drive then do a restart.
Once you have done a restart go to the store and reinstall Face Book again.
Why I am advising this as it seems somehow your Face Book App has a bug in it

Yes, both apps stop working long time ago...there is no solution, just wait for facebook to fix it.
Yes, facebook Messenger App also not working. I noticed many others having issues with this. I just did a clean install of Windows 10 on my other PC & same thing apparently there a is a bug in the app. I'll just use the browser for now.
Hi my face book and messenger is working ok though the Windows 10 App but I notice it is slow in loading up and showing, but I do if I want it quick is go via MSN
