Recommendation for a file archive, ZIP, RAR etc program please?

    Hi All,
Anyone please recommend a file compressor software please, other than the one that's built in to Windows 10?
    Thanks!

7-zip definitely. It is free, copes with all formats you want, is faster and compresses better.

I've used WinRAR and WinZip in the past but have no need for them any more.

The reason I got into WinZip years ago was the ability to compress a number of files into one then create an .exe/Self Extracting file for sharing with folks or putting on different machines that didn't have such a program. PKZip for DOS didn't quite do the job for me. I do have 7-Zip on a few machines and ZipPEG on my MacBook Pro.

...and .iso files, Nero's proprietary .nrg files, Backup & Restore's .vhd system image files - what can't 7-Zip open?

Just try them out, and see which one you like. I find all of them perform the same thing.
