    Adobe Reader DC not working after Ann. update

    When I go to open a pdf or open the Acrobat Reader DC, I get a "Adobe Reader has stopped working............"
    Was working before the major update.

    I've tried the Adobe Cleanup uninstaller and reinstalled, still NG.
    I see a number of posts on the Adobe forum but there doesn't appear to be any help there.
    I have 2 PC's, a laptop and Desktop, both running Build 14905, both have the same problem.

    Anyone found an answer?

    Not sure what is interfering with Adobe Reader DC on your two systems; It works fine on all my 5 Computers.

    Which Internet Security are you using? May need to grant permission to run.

    Clean Boot, and see if it runs.

    Reset your Browser/s.

    Run SFC and DISM.

    Download and run CCleaner. Repeat running it until it no longer finds anything

    Run a full virus scan.

    Download and run Malwarebytes.

    Uninstall ARDC then install an alternative PDF reader. Such as, PDF reader for Windows 10. This is only for test purposes.

    Should have looked at the Build Info.
    Adobe Reader crashes in both Build 14901 and 14905.

    Known issues for PC

    • Support for kernel debugging over 1394 has been removed, but will be available in an upcoming kit release. A work-around will be posted to the Debugging Tools for Windows Blog shortly.
    • Adobe Acrobat Reader crashes when you try to launch it.
