    Native photos app live tile

Does anyone have issues with the live tile on the photos app? It works 90% of the time. But then I will open the start menu and the live tile will be occassionaly static on a single photo. No shuffling. It will work again if I either log out/ log in again or if I right click and turn live tile off and then back to on. But it's sporadic behaviour, is it by design/intention that after a while it stops shuffling?

Have tried on mine and it opens ok. have you tried uninstalling it and reinstalling it again.
Also you do know that you can reinstall Windows Photo Viewer, I got it working again by following Brinks Tutorial

Thanks, yeah I might look at getting photo viewer up and running again - the native photos app isn't bad (live tile glitch aside) but I think I preferred the old photo viewer.

Yes on their web site they say it cant be install but by following what Brink posted and clicking the download button for adding WPV I tried it and it works as good as it used too.
I use it more than the Photo App

I think live tile photo UWP app behaves randomly like that AFAIK you cant screw with it beyond on/off or re installing it with some drama AFAIK .

I agree, trying to uninstall / reinstall the photos app will bring drama and risk of crippling the app. Those native apps don't seem to play nice with changes/tinkering and better left untouched. The live tile seems to work most of the time so I'll leave it alone. I will probably follow hTconeM9user's advice to get the old photo viewer up and running. Would just be nice if the native photos app could be relied upon, more for its aesthetic properties within the start menu!

    cheers, Wayne
