Windows Live Photo Gallery - "The App Didn't Start" - How Fix?

Suddenly, I am receiving the window "The App Didn't Start" when I am viewing the thumbnails. I am therefore unable to click on the thumbnail, enlarge the thumbnail and 'photo shop' it with the tools available with Windows Live Photo Gallery (before I send it off for enlargement/printing). How can I fix this? Thanks.

Hi Ssftexas, welcome to Ten Forums.

Right click Start, select Programs and Features (top most item). Select Windows Essentials, click Uninstall / Change:

Select Repair all Windows Essentials programs:

    Let the repair run:

When done check if the issue has been fixed. If not, come back and we think something else.

I completed the "repair all..." on the installed 'Windows Live Essentials 2011"...was "repaired successfully" but the fix did not work to solve my problem. If I 'uninstall' and then 're-install' will i lose all existing pictures in my "Window Live Photo Gallery" or is there another 'fix' to try.
    Many thanks and best regards.
