    Editing the default WMP library?

I expect this is embarrassingly obvious, but in WMP how do I reduce the content of its Library, which by default appears to include everything on my PC, including backups etc.

    My illustration is more specific:

    1. How do I delete these external HDs from the Library? I see no Delete/Remove tools.

How did they get in there anyway? I don't recall being asked when I first ran WMP?

    2. How do I make detailed changes to 'Video', for example? I don't want all 5,000 videos (incuding tiny clips) that are in the hundreds of subfolders under D:\Pictures\Videos+Projects to be included.

Right click something(anything) on the navigation pane, then right click, select customize navigation pane, you'll get this popup:

then just select what you want, unselect what you don't.

Thanks Cliff. But I don't get it. That doesn't open up Video to show individual folders and subfolders.

For the libraries themselves, use Manage Libraries.

Just remove the existing videos library, create a new folder for the videos you want, then add the folder to your library.
