    The .Net Framework 4.8 is not supported on your operating system, HELP


    Hello all respected members of tenforums
    I want to install some apps on my pc but they required .net framework 4.8
    So I downloaded online and offline installer of .net framework 4.8 but it says not supported on this operting system.
    Please tell me any possible solution of this problem.

    Why are you still using a 7-year old version of Windows 10 which is no longer supported?

    this is bought for our school in 2015, I dont want to change to Trial version of windows, and it cannot be updated more.

    If I am correct, the oldest versions/builds of Windows 10 that Microsoft .NET Framework 4.8 will install in is:

    Version 1607 Build 14393 (released in August 2016)

    Version 1703 Build 15063 (released in April 2017)

    The version/build your computer has is older than that.

    That is why it will not install.

    Your only solution is to update Windows.
    I imagine that the computer maker has also issued updates to your Bios and to its hardware drivers.

    yup. the very last version of .NET 4.x supported on the 1507 & 1511 W10 versions is 4.6.2.
    both .NET 4.7 & 4.8 releases require minimum 1607 version (also applies to LTSB/LTSC editions as well; need LTSB 2016 which is based on 1607 or newer to install .NET 4.7/4.8)
