    I opened a theme from one of the Pro's(UXStyles) and it shows this for the cursor portion in the .theme file:
    Code:
    [Control Panel\Cursors]AppStarting=%SystemRoot%\cursors\aero_working.ani
    Arrow=%SystemRoot%\cursors\aero_arrow.cur
    Crosshair=
    Hand=%SystemRoot%\cursors\aero_link.cur
    Help=%SystemRoot%\cursors\aero_helpsel.cur
    IBeam=
    No=%SystemRoot%\cursors\aero_unavail.cur
    NWPen=%SystemRoot%\cursors\aero_pen.cur
    SizeAll=%SystemRoot%\cursors\aero_move.cur
    SizeNESW=%SystemRoot%\cursors\aero_nesw.cur
    SizeNS=%SystemRoot%\cursors\aero_ns.cur
    SizeNWSE=%SystemRoot%\cursors\aero_nwse.cur
    SizeWE=%SystemRoot%\cursors\aero_ew.cur
    UpArrow=%SystemRoot%\cursors\aero_up.cur
    Wait=%SystemRoot%\cursors\aero_busy.ani
    DefaultValue=Windows Aero
    DefaultValue.MUI=@main.cpl,-1020
    I don't know if this helps, but...

    Can someone post some screenshots of how Word, Firefox, Excel might look like? The high contrast themes are horrible in that respect.

    Here is a screenshot of Excel and Optimize drives while I have an AeroHybrid theme applied.
    An AeroHybrid theme is when I use SMACC in normal Windows Aero mode and not high contrast.
    SMACC lets you use some(but not all) of the keys that normally are set aside for high contrast, but instead of manually doing it in Regedit, you now have a visual, and a color picker tool, which is useful when you theme around wallpaper, and cand select colors right from your desktop wallpaper.

    Thanks! I will have to do some testing because every time I tried any of the color changing methods there was always some problem somewhere where the GUI would come mostly unusable.

    Craig, in your first post if you want to embed that excel sheet so others can see it when you update it just copy & paste this in:
    [ex]319A5040034D9A35&resid=319A5040034D9A35%2141029&authkey=ABhF8X3xVmODom4&em=2[/ex]

    I believe I have given you control to update it too, but only you.

    Check out the 3rd post(is mine) to see how it looks.

    I was careless and changed a lot of color. How can I revert all kinds of colours back to their default value?

    Settings\personalization\themes, and then select one.

    Each theme, including the ones you create with SMACC, have their own file & registry entries, so just select another.

    @Cliff S

    Do you think that should be an additonal function? i.e. Back-up present theme before committing the new?

    BTW I really wanted to make this a UWP app but as reported in the ShowKeyPlus thread not too long ago, basic stuff like registry editing and calling (Win32) API's are not supported - which is what SMACC is all about.
    Anyway still want to make it look more appealing, I'm looking into WPF which I think will give the XML effects but still cater for 'proper' coding...

    I think a "Read Me" text file telling people to save their current theme in the settings app would be enough, and that they can just go to themes in personalization to reset.

    But a warning to "save present settings before closing?" might be a nice addition.
    I know I sometimes close opened windows(sometimes the wrong one, when too many are opened) by accident, and this could protect against an hours work disappearing.
