That doesn't work. 4.6 is included with Windows 10, and there's no way to "turn it off". Even if you could, the .net 4.5 installer won't install in Windows 10 because a newer version is already installed.
Hmmm..., well, I just turned mine off; let's see what happened!

That doesn't "turn it off", look closely at the options... It's only .NET Framework 4.6 "Advanced Services" that you can turn off. While if you look at the .NET Framework 3.5 above it, it allows the option of adding or removing the whole framework.

That only allows you to remove the WCF Services and ASP.NET, not the framework itself.

    You may wanna try this...

    Backup this key: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\.NETFramework\v4.0.30319\SKUs\.NETFramework,Version=v4.6

Then delete it and see if the installer proceeds...

    Afterwhich restore the key again.

Just a wild guess.... change the installer to win 8 compatible in properties and run it. Maybe you can trick it.

    Hi

When "Windows 8.0" was released, Autocad 2012 had a similar issue. AutoCAD 2012 tries to install NET 4.0 and when it tries, it fails because DotNET 4.5 is already installed. There is a workaround for this by editing setup.ini and removing the prerequisite check for 4.0. I don't know whether the same trick will work with newer versions of Autocad but it will worth a try.
