Add my App to Win 10 Autoplay Options

I have searched everywhere trying to find a way to add my own App to the list of selectable options in Autoplay defaults. I can't believe I'm the only person in the universe who wants to do so. (I have Visual Studio 2008 for App development)
I have tried writing a .dll and putting Registry entries in Root, HK_Local_Machine Classes and Autoplayhandlers. But my App doesn't appear in the list of selectable options.
I want my own App to put photos into my Gallery structure, the MS option just doesn't do what I want.
Has anyone else done something similar or have any clues on how it can be done?
    Dicky.

    Thanks dalchina,
I was trying to avoid third party apps. What I was hoping for is the Win 10 equivalent of the following link which works for XP but not Win 10.

Much safer to use a GUI than editing the registry. Good luck anyway.
