    Windows 10 Calendar App / OUTLOOK.COM

    Hey guys,

I've been trying to solve this issue for hours and days and contacted Microsoft SUPPORT repeatedly but there support is trash and not being racist but its from India apparently and they have no clue what they're doing...

This has been bugging me really bad because I have a huge knowledge in computers and I still don't know what is causing this problem.

The problem I'm having is I'm using the Windows 10 Calendar App and it is synced to my Outlook.com browser through google chrome, please use the image as a REFERENCE.

As you can see from this image, the left side of my screen is the Win10 Calendar app and the right side is the browser. On my LEFT side, I have a Primary Calendar "Outlook" and UNDER it IS ALL my SECONDARY calendars. I created the calendars through the Outlook. Now I CAN'T DELETE any of the JUNK calendars. Simple as that. I can't delete the secondary calendars. I reserached everywhere there HAS to be a WAY..

I haven't experienced your exact problem, however I did have a problem in the past where the Calendar app added two holiday calendars for the same country and it wouldn't allow me to delete the extra calendar, only tick/untick or change colour.

I solved it by using a bit of a nuclear approach as there wasn't any other way and that was to uninstall and reinstall the Calendar app.

Unfortunately, Microsoft don't currently provide a way to uninstall/reinstall the built-in apps, so you need to uninstall it using PowerShell and then reinstall it from the Windows Store. It will also remove/reinstall the Mail app as well when you do that as the Mail app and the Calendar apps come as one.

Here's a tutorial on how to remove the built-in Mail/Calendar apps using Powershell here:

PS: I don't think rubbish technical support is exclusive to India, but instead pretty much worldwide. Companies don't like spending money on adequate tech support staff because that costs them money, so they have to get through as many callers as they can so their figures look good. I knew a tech support person who would 'accidently' disconnect some calls so that they didn't get penalised for taking too long to solve the customers problem, as they're judged purely on numbers rather than quality of support. That was a UK company.

    Hey ARC1020,

I've actually reinstllaed the Calendar & Mail app 10 times by now and it doesn't work.
I uninstalled using POWERSHELL and I actually did in fact reset the store using WSRESET app which resets the store correct?

Additionally, as soon as I uninstall and install the app again, it restores the user data back to exactly what I had. So all the secondary calendars are back and in the right color and some of the are ticked and unticked.

Just to clarify, you have deleted all your 'JUNK' secondary calendars directly on the Outlook.com website, but those deleted calendars still appear in the Calendar app even after reinstalling the calendar app? Is that correct?

Yes, that is correct. BESIDES, you cannot actually even delete the "SECONDARY CALENDARS" from the Windows 10 Calendar app anyways.
All you can do is right click and change the color of the SECONDARY CALENDAR.

Have you tried getting rid of the using the online version? I mean at Google Calendar, and Outlook online calendar?
I only use Outlooks, and got rid of Googles awhile ago. I also found when I linked the two together, I was getting double entries of some things, such as holidays, so I turned that off on the Google one too.

Uhh that wouldn't make sense because on the Windows 10 Calendar APP, you cannot actually DELETE any calendars. You have to DELETE through the online version which is at hotmail.com and log in to your Outlook account then through Calendars. I deleted the calendars there and and it still shows up on my windows 10 calendar app.

For the record, I do not use a google calendar, this is a @Hotmail.com account.

That's what I mean, make any changes for your calendar through Outlook online ´: Sign in to your Microsoft account

So if I understand then, you have gotten rid of them at Outlook, the problem is they are still showing up in the app?
Is this the only PC (Win8 or Win10) that is synced with this account(and are there any alias's associated with it)?

Yes I've deleted them on Outlook already thats why if you look at the screenshot I've provided its deleted on the website, but it WONT delete on the windows 10 calendar app (yes im running win10). Yes the account is synced, I CONFIRMED this by adding random events on the Outlook calendar and it synced successfully to the app. BUT the problem is the calendars are not goddamn syncing.. When I create a CALENDAR on Outloo, it syncs to the app but when I delete a calendar it doesnt get deleted on the app..
