    AOMEI '[driveG]' folder

Every time I try to restore files from an AOMEI backup, the blasted thing keeps putting in an additional folder layer named '[DriveG]' (so C:\[DriveG]\*other folders*), this is causing the backup to fail every time due to window's antiquated 256 character limit for filenames.
Is there a way to force AOMEI to omit this ridiculously unnecessary folder or to remove the 256 character limit from it? The hard drive with the data on has broken and I have been relying on this app to run backups, now I cannot get to the data and it is rather important that I get it restored.

EDIT: The solution to this (if you're like me and have broken all your extra HDDs) is to create a virtual hard drive and make the drive letter the same (or get another HDD and make the drive letter the same as the original), then in AOMEI go through the restore screens ensuring the 'restore in original place' option is selected.
