One Drive
Apparently Microsoft One Drive is baked intoWindows 10 and cannot be uninstalled. A recent email from Microsoft informs methat One Drive storage will be reduced from 15GB to 5GB and my option is to remove some files or pay up for storage.
Via a link in this email, I was able to view all my backed up files on One Drive (which must have taken place by default) because I was not aware of all these backed up files. However, when opening up One Drive and selecting the"Stop Syncing" option, I am informed that One Drive will keep all the backed up files but they will be deleted from my computer. So, it seems I have the following options:
Stop One Drive from syncing and lose all my files.
Back up my files to an external hard drive, and have them not conveniently viewable on my computer, or,
Pay up and give money to Microsoft for the extra storage space (which is what they seem to want).
I have already Googled this but have not found any good answers and would like to save some time on further research. What (if anything), am I missing here?
Thanks.
