It is possible you are using a different type of key. Besides, Office 2007 had volume license keys that didn't need to connect online to activate. You are comparing apples to oranges.

I've installed and uninstalled Office 2010 LOADS of times certainly > 10 -- no probs whatsoever.

I don't want to lose all my information that is currently in word format.
Do I install Libreoffice first then use add remove to remove MS to switch and keep my files?
I do not know how to make the transition and not lose my data in my desktop and...
Windws 10 x64 is Offering me 4 Office 2010 updates: KB2553347, 4011188, 4011055, 2553338.
The catch is, I don't have Office 2010 installed.
I have been running Office 2016 (via Office 365) since it was released.
