    Hi there.

Unlike a lot of other programs I'm not sure if you really need to update every time -- unless something is actually broken I'd tend to leave a working backup / recovery program unless you really need to fix something. Remember a new version might not be able to read your earlier backups taken with a previous version -- Macrium so far though hasn't had that problem - I have experienced that with some other backup programs though -- so even if you DO upgrade keep the old version just in case.

I haven't updated for a while -- nothings broken yet --I'll wait until I see something that effects me or if there are some desirable new features. I regard updating a backup / recovery program rather like updating a BIOS -- only do it if you absolutely have to.

    Cheers

I like to keep upto date but I do keep isos for a couple of versions back just in case lateset version crapped out and would not recover an earlier version.

Have now updated my macrium on my customised version of Khyi's tool (got it down to a few minutes to do now with a batch file to do it all).

Pretty easy to do, once you get the hang of - Modify PE....

I would like to see your script file, as a quest for improvement / devolopment...

Macrium Reflect updated to a new Version 6.1.1311 ( See Bug Below That Was In 1309 )

    Bug Fixes 6.1.1311 - 24th May 2016

    Problem with long volume names

A problem was found with v6.1.1309 where long file system Volume Names could cause a program crash. This has been resolved.
    1st post updated, thanks KRL.

I got the patch to 1311 when I opened Macrium awhile ago.

Now to find the 'structions; StarFerret says she's lost without those. :)

Uh oh, I must be doing something terribly wrong. I've never succeeded in creating the Win PE thing when Macrium first opens:

    Anybody got any ideas?

A code 9 normally occurs when you have some file system corruption.
Wynona you might want to just reformat the USB and then when it's empty, run Chkdsk on it.
If it then comes up clean, recreate your recovery USB
