    Anyone use Dragon Speech...?

Does anyone use Dragon Speech to text as I'm having big problems trying to install 12.5 which worked fine on Win 7, but keeps being rejected by Win 10 for some reason.

For three years or more I used to talk directly and very accurately to the laptop mike on Win 7 from about 3 or 4 feet away (yes true !), and would like to do the same on 10 if possible.... ?

    Thanks :)

You better read this, but it will not make you happy.

Naturally Speaking wont work with Windows 10 .

Simply put, either buy 13 or revert back to 7.

    Yikes! That's pricey software too!
    Used it years ago.

No expert at all but it does seem as though there is this one in the link at the bottom that might work with Dragon though I haven't a clue what it all means.

Although the problem is where would the leads go into a laptop, it's the extract below taken from the link about changing sound cards that might be the way to use the built in mike on the lid itself... ?

    Fingers crossed "!"

    IMPORTANT NOTE:

Some of our microphones include a built-in USB soundcard. Those that do not, typically include the recommendation to add a proper USB soundcard. This is because the integrated OEM soundcard (that came in your computer) may limit the accuracy of your new professional microphone, or even prevent it from working altogether.

I was worried after all I had read on this subject. One of my clients uses Dragon 12 regularly and just bought a new Dell with Win10x64. Installation, import of profile and mic setup (not usb) all went smoothly. Go figure.
