    onedrive

    Windows 10.
I could see contents of onedrive where I have some material stored in the cloud using file explorer. I could also see documents in the computer using the the fie explorer.
So all was well until I saw a video which showed onedrive and desktop(documents) synchronized. Mine was not. In the systray to the right the little cloud was gray and did not respond. I uninstalled onedrive and reinstalled it from the store. It is not in add remove. It does seem to work as before but in a different format but still no sync and nothing in the task tray.
? system restore or image recovery or??

OneDrive can hiccup and get stuck and not sync, or even start automatically. There are several tips here to kick-start it. 9 tips to help you fix OneDrive sync problems on Windows 10 | Windows Central

Also, check your On-Line account and make sure it is connected.

Make sure you can go here Microsoft OneDrive and successfully sign in to your OneDrive account.

Even though the cloud icon is greyed-out, you should be able to right-click it, and get all the options for settings, folder, on-line, etc.

If the cloud icon is not there, search for onedrive, and click the app to start it.

I was doing some reading thanks to you. I did not realize that Onedrive syncs with libraries, mapped drives and other pcs on your network. I use none of them. I like it the way it functions b/c I amend work with the file explorer which appears in the cloud too.
I find working with the browser or other than the file explorer to be awkward. What ever I enter in Documents appears in Onedrive.
    So I am all set.
