Figured out that disabling Cortana brought back Voice Recognition.
Voice Recognition still not working like it did in 7, 8 & 8.1.
Am I missing something or is Cortana suppose to be replacing Voice Recognition. Even on desktops and laptops? This is a laptop.
Hey, pcRat. Howz it going? :)
Cortana isn't quite up to par yet. Members are having problems with it. Not sure, but it may be replacing Voice Recognition.
Going good HippsieGypsie. I've been trolling but not much physical stuff lately other than a few posts for help. Hopefully that will be changing in the next year or so. April 20 I have apt at U of M to be evaluated for lung transplants. I was hoping for Lung Volume Reduction Surgery instead of transplants but that option is gone.
I had same thought about Cortana replacing Voice Recognition. I've gotten use to using Voice Recognition.
Cortana is designed for awesome and may work more fluidly on phones. So far, I can't use it on my laptop because it's still in the building stages.
Even though it doesn't work yet, no bad views or bad names from me.
I remember a school field trip to Museum of Science & Industry in 1964 in 4th grade. Being impressed by technological displays of the future. Microwave ovens and kitchen computers for mom and her recipes to appear on screen. Phones in your home that allowed you to see the person you're talking to. Portable phones that would be carried in a small suitcase (I don't think blue tooth was in the plans yet).
Now we have little bitty cell phones and little bitty tablets.
Sorry to read if your condition. Hope all goes well for you!
We were just at that museum last summer. Great museum. A lot of childhood memories for me there too. :)
Good to see you posting even if it's now and then! :)
Thanks.
If I get my wind back; a trip down memory lane is in store. About a week of visiting Chicagoland. Museum of Science & Industry, Shedds Aquarium, Adler Planetarium, Navy Pier, China Town and Italian Beefs everyday.
