Do the rest of you still have Windows Media Player installed?

    Look in Program Files and Program Files (x86) for Windows Media Player (it's in both places) and you can open it from there but I don't think it can rip videos but I only use it to playback so not familiar with it.

    Thank you so much for that. It was in fact installed, and I've now managed to open it and send a short cut to the task bar. (I need it to rip CDs and not DVDs) .

    Yes, I did find it there. That's why I suspected that I probably did have it installed on my PC.

    Try a system file checker to check system files

    (admin) command prompt copy and paste press enter
    sfc /scannow

    After it finishes run this same open command prompt copy and paste this in and press enter

    Dism /Online /Cleanup-Image /RestoreHealth

    reboot after both commands completed

    Look in the Start menu location and maybe you can add it's shortcut.
