    Windows 10 version 1511 10586 app issues

I just upgraded my windows 10 pc to the 1511 version. I have (on the start menu) icons for photos, calendar, camera, maps, solitaire, news, get office, sports, one note all with a exclamation mark in a circle. When I click on any it says app not installed contact system administrator to repair or reinstall. I did a sfc/scannow and it came back with no integrity violations. As there is no iso available to reinstall I'm at a loss as to what to do. It takes nearly 50% longer to boot up compared to the previous windows 10 version as well. I tried searching for a former restore point to go back to but they all seem to have been removed after the upgrade. Icons on my task bar occasionally blink out then back on from time to time as well. Any advice will be appreciated. Thank you.

Oh apologies unsure why my eyes didn't adjust to that bit.

Can you still uninstall updates in Windows 10? I'm sure you could in 7 and then revert back that way

Yes he can uninstall an update
I will post and tell him one way of doing it

    (1) Right click start button
    (2) Scroll to Program and Features
    (3) Click and it will take you to a page
    (4) Where you can see
    (5) View installed updates
(6)Click that and up will come
    (7) Uninstall an update

He should be able to scroll down and find the update he needs
Then just click it and it should uninstall and take him back to before he had his trouble

Right click at it > click Command Prompt (Admin) > type powershell > press Enter key.
At the flashing prompt, copy and paste this command line ( to avoid typo it's best to apply Copy/paste method)......
    Get-AppXPackage -AllUsers | Foreach {Add-AppxPackage -DisableDevelopmentMode -Register "$($_.InstallLocation)\AppXManifest.xml"}

    > press Enter.
When it is done, check if you can open Start Menu.

If you still have the same problem after using my suggestion, please try this.........This is to re-register all your Windows Store apps.

    $($_.InstallLocation)\AppXManifest.xml"

In the "install", do I need to provide a directory or paste as you have provided?
Thank you all for your suggestions. I intend to try the PowerShell approach and uninstall update if that doesn't work. I'll post my results and let you know what works.
