The link from post #591 works for me. Direct link KYHI UPLOADS | ISO Files Uploaded And Shared In Forums | Files.fm.
I must say this recovery disk is absolutely fantastic for me. I'm planning to upgrade win7 to win10 soon, and using the "cool little trick" on post #1, I can boot into recovery disk, take backup with Macrium Reflect, then start Win10 installer all in the one motion. Brilliant!

1st , thanks for the Apps in the 1st Post

I am trying the ImagePrep tool , and it finds the Mounted image no problem and extract to the Sources folder and then asks for a Folder Name , so I type TEST and the guide doesn't say but I assume I need to hit enter, but if I do, I get an error message

    "unexpected at this time"

and Image Prep exits to the Prompt.

I have tried it several times but I must be missing something... :)

I would STRONGLY recommend NOT using Norton Ghost - this has not been developed for many years and does not handle UEFI pcs and is flakey even on legacy bios machines.

Kyhi has put Macrium Reflect on it which is very up to date and very reliable.

I would be interested in testing your iso if you were willing to upload it and send me a link (pm me if you did not want to make link public).

Appreciate the sentiment, but a recovery iso is not meant to be bloated with like every app imaginable... in fact I still use the original..

    Updaated Win10PEx86

    Hi, Cereberus
I personally tested the Norton Ghost, AOMEI Backupper and Macrium Reflect to back up my installed system.(Instead of fresh installation of the O.S. and the needed apps ,just to restore the image within minutes if the system is corrupted or infectd). The Ghost Program gives the best compression than others and next is the AOMEI Backupper and the last and least is the Macrium Reflect. So, the Ghost to use.
The updated ISO is not much big , it only 715 MB and searching for hosting sites to upload. Specify the sites who host the files for upload.
    Thanks. :)

You must be using a legacy bios pc. Ghost does not work on UEFI pcs. I gave up using it as it failed on some devices. Macrium is the only tool I tested (and I tested all the main players) that worked reliably on tablets using the 32bit uefi install.

You can change compression to Macrium to a higher compression level.

Actually, higher compression leads to higher risk of failure to decompress, and takes longer to do . Macrium and AEOMI supports differential backups as well.

Whilst it may work for you, Norton Ghost is old and I would definitely do not recommend it as a tool of choice.

As an aside, strictly it is violating the licence agreement you have to distribute it as it is not freeware.

Re iso - how is it so small - Kyhi's base iso is around 1GB?

The original ISO lacks Hard disk checking programs and the recovery softwareand also the registry editing tool.

Regedit is the MS registry editor...
What is the purpose of your recovery software ? and how does it work ?
MS Recovery software is winre and it repartitions the HDD and applies the factory image...

But it does lack HDD Diagnostics software.... As was not included at that time...
Although there are many programs that could of been included...

The Rescue Disk was created for general forum users... So it may be lacking your personal choice for programs...

BUT, lets not get into such personal use software issues.. As that is why I created Modify PESE, so one could make their own personal changes and modifications to PESE..

PS, Hosting has been an issue, due to the volume of downloads...

    Downloads for last 24 days..
