I am sorry to say that yes, in the installation on a clean install, the driver(s) require a restart.

So, the next possibility is.. is there any way I can trim the Rescue CD down to Just the Backupper Pro?
When I have mounted the wim file, I see a Program Files directory. they look like installed apps instead of legacy apps.

I would really like to be able to have individual iso files for different scenarios, so is there a way to isolate the programs instead of having all of the together?

    Thanks.

you can create a Macrium Recovery Disk - I believe an Aomie recovery disk, an Acronis recovery disk
all using the oem software from each company...

Also you have clearly missed the point of TESTING your required drivers...

Question: I need to add drivers for the Intel NUC NUC5i5RYH chipset. Everytime I boot, I have to wait, shut down and reboot as it will not recognise the keyboard and mouse plugged into the USB ports on the first try.

So am I on the right track? Is it the chipset? And if yes, how do I add the drivers using the MODIFY_WINPESE tool or is there some other way to do this?

    Thanks in advance.
PE loads to memory - rebooting the PC just reloads the files already included in PE -
if you install a program while running PE you are loading the program into memory..
rebooting PE will not save any information, from a prior boot....

PE never changes... It always boot the same way every time, no matter what you do while inside PE...

Unless you modify the files to be included into PE Enviroment

So yes you can lighten the files in PE by removing the Program Folder... And then committing the changes

you can also go into Admin Tool or computer management and there is a shortcut to reload PNP drivers...
As the fact your are rebooting does nothing other then being a coincidence

I know the sacrifice to maintain up to date useful utilities - as clearly the case here...

But again Bandwidth is a big issue..

Thanx for the PM bud, but I created my own decryption routine in .Net (it's part of one of my apps on github) - so we do not need the MDL way anyway.
