Some time ago I posted the request for help below, but noone has relied.
Is there really no help to get or have I posted on the wrong Forum?

    -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

I earlier used the VBscript found on

    http://www.howtogeek.com/206329/how-...-product-keys/.

I have never tried it on a reinstalltion, but it does not give the same result as ShowkeyPlus. Who should I trust?
Sorry for the late reply. That script is outdated. ShowKeyPlus has superseded it.

    You're welcome,

That is the correct checksum, yes.

BTW: These guys did some extensive technical testing on it ....

    Hi there Superfly

I did get an error message when trying this on a Virtual Machine where I'd completely wiped it and recovered from a Recovery Drive.

The Recovery Drive process is a bit flaky in my experience, so is quite likely the cause of the problem, but thought you might be interested.

It did then go ahead and read a key.

    Hope this helps.

Looks good buddy, I'm thinking of giving the GUI a modern look in the next build.

    Thanx David,
That seems to be random error (seen it on another forum as well)
I have been unable to replicate it - I'm assuming a registry key that has an inconsistent value or my not decoding it properly - either way I'll need to provide tighter checks when decoding those values - hopefully it will be fixed in the next build.

    @ Superfly

A true W10 upgrade from a true W8 upgrade on a W7 OEM machine, everything checks out proper! :)

Looking forward to your new UI.

Cool! (although I can hear tem moans now, like with Ccleaner:)). You might want to put a hint on the GUI, about clicking the key #'s for posting, it looks like I'm not the only one that didn't see that.

The one DavidY posted is generic anyway.
