Yes, it should - it may be a bug where the SLIC and MSDM tables are getting mixed up... does the previous version show your Win8 key?
I didn't try it with a previous version. I was running it in Windows 10 if that makes a difference.

@Edwin, Shouldn't you hide the keys?

Those are just generic keys found anywhere on the net.

    Hi there

If you want a SENSIBLE FREE program to give you all this info try running BELARC advisor

    http://www.belarc.com/free_download.html

Note when running it can take a few minutes to collect the info

it can even give you info on how often and when USB devices were attached to your machine etc.

For Windows 10 it shows W8.1 butI'm sure the software will be updated for W10 to fix these. For W8.1 and earlier the software is fine.

    Cheers

Geez, jimbo. I hope you didn't mean that in the context I read it in. SENSIBLE FREE?! Is that being supportive to a member working hard to develop an app? Perhaps worded your post it in a better way?

    Hi there
What I meant was that the app I showed provides a whole slew of stuff and IMO is rather better than the propsed app.
Words take on perhaps a different meaning when posted online rather than in "casual conversation".

Of course there wasn't any "nasty intent" -- like all things there are alternatives -- and IMO the developer in this case could be using a lot of time and effort in providing something that is already available and doesn't have much wrong with it.

I'm all in favour of alternative apps and ways of doing things but there must be a clear advantage in using the alternates --and I'm sorry but in this case I just can't see that the app is better than the one I've suggested.

    Cheers

Let's say I'm looking to get my keys and that is all. Not perform a forensic study of my PC. Why would I want to run a long program to do so?

Agree. We don't hear tone of voice or see facial expressions which are important in communication, but you did indeed stress "SENSIBLE FREE program" by capitalizing two key words. Surely can't speak for the OP, but I took it as being rather INSENSITIVE to his work.

Of course there wasn't any "nasty intent" -- like all things there are alternatives -- and IMO the developer in this case could be using a lot of time and effort in providing something that is already available and doesn't have much wrong with it.
I know you meant well. Not really saying there was "nasty intent". I feel you could do better in your constructive criticism, though.

Yes, there are always alternatives. In this case the app is UNDER DEVELOPMENT. It's a member that started the thread to seek help with that development. He never stated it was it a FINISHED PRODUCT. Looks to me like he's taking the proper steps. Yes?

I think it to be better time wise. Most geeks probably know that Belarc Advisor has been around for years. A great program indeed. Used it many a time. As I stated earlier, sometimes all I'm looking for is my keys. All the other data would be useless to me, so why would I run a long program and waste valuable time to do so? As you state it so often > seemple.
