    Hello RSplaine, :)

This happens when you or someone removes the PC from OneDrive using OPTION TWO below.

Thank you Brink that is the second problem you have helped me with, I appreciate your commitment.

I am not sure how I did that I assume it is when I stop using my desk top and start using my lap top or when I file something to PC instead of One Drive.

I will be a aware to watch for that problem

    Thanks

You're most welcome. I hope that you find what's deleting it.

Brink, thank you very much for the information. I've read through the post, although I suspect there is something else going on.

Around an hour ago, maybe more, I was using my computer as normal. Onedrive and its associated files were not touched, accessed, manipulated or modified in anyway. After alt-tabbing from my IRC client I got the exact same message as the original poster.

I typed the error message into google and this is one of the first results that came up. Although it could surely be a coincidence and most likely is, I think it's odd we both experienced the same issue at roughly the same time.

To the original poster, did you do option two in the above link before experiencing this issue? "I am not sure how I did that I assume it is when I stop using my desk top and start using my lap top or when I file something to PC instead of One Drive. " As far as I know, this would not cause the symptoms you were experiencing.

I have never encountered this error previously and OneDrive has not been touched. Could there be any chance, at least in my case, that this was not caused by any action I took?

Edit: Brink, it appears as if multiple users are experiencing this issue, I'll leave the relevant information here so you can advise your members should they face the same issue.

Me too. Booted up this morning to be greeted by the message "This device removed from One Drive". Had to go through the set-up process again and point it to my files (on my data D: drive). It then went through the synchronization process for all my "OneDrive" files. A little later, without using or modifying any files I again got the message and asked to set-up again.

I won't be doing so until MS have found what the issue is. BTW I have never had the option checked to allow OneDrive to fetch files from my PC.

I got the same thing last Friday (not had it since)

After I had logged back in and selected the option to merge files, it checked my files for about 5 mins and then said everything was in sync, didn't need to re download/upload anything
