    Photos App Error Message "Connect a device ...

    If I run the Photos App when I insert an SD card I get an error message:

    Connect a device
    Connect the device you want to import from, and make sure it's turned on and unlocked.

    I've read dozens of complaints that the Photos app won't import from various cameras, I'm using a simple SD card.

    Surely I'm not the only one?
