How to sync ALL shared Google Calendars to Windows 10 Calendar app??

    Hi :)

I added my Google account to the Windows 10 Mail and Calendar app, but I can only view some of my Google Calendars (my personal and a few others) BUT none of the calendars under the "other calendars" category on Google Calendars are populating/syncing and showing up on my Windows 10 Mail and Calendar app...

Even though ALL of my Google shared and main calendars show up when I have synced it with my Android phones etc for years now.

I was just trying to see what I may have missed since I've researched and read countless pages of blogs about syncing Google Calendars with Windows 10 Mail and Calendar and haven't run into many people with this same issue.

Also, on my Android Samsung Galaxy S4, I'm able to view on my phone calendar app, ALL entries dating back to 2010 when I first used Google Calendar, but on Windows 10 Mail and Calendar...it only shows entries from this current month of September (when I added my Google account to Windows 10 Mail and Calendar) and the future...

Only recurring weekly/monthly etc entries show up for the previous months on Windows 10 Mail and Calendar...??

Is anyone else having this issue or is there a setting I'm overlooking so that I can have access to all the entries from Google Calendar onto my Windows 10 Mail and Calendar?

And lastly--besides using Cortana, is there a search button I am missing on the Windows 10 Mail and Calendar app, since I can't understand how a calendar app would not allow you to search thru it easily?

    Thanks!!!
    Cory

Incase anyone else was having this issue and hadn't figured it out yet either:

thanks to the crew at mashtips :)

Found this link with the solution to adding/showing ALL Google shared/"other" calendars on your Windows 10 Calendar app for PC :)

    http://mashtips.com/subscribe-google-calendar-windows8/

Just FYI, after I followed the steps, note that for some calendars, notably personal Google calendars shared to me originally by friends and family members, there may not be a "private ics" URL link when you click on "calendar settings" for that calendar on your Google Calendar webview...

You will have to request the owner of that Google Calendar shared with you to copy/paste and send it to you directly because trying the public ics URL link and trying to import/subscribe to it on the webview of Microsoft Outlook Calendar will give you an error message.

Hope this helps anyone else with this problem!!!

Would still love to hear if anyone else has similar issues and/or found solutions to:

    2. Getting Windows 10 Calendar for PC app to show ALL past entries from Google Calendars beyond the 30 days

    3. Finding a search button function for Windows 10 Calendar for PC app without having to ask Cortana

Sadly, the mashtips solution doesn't work for me. I just upgraded to Windows 10 on my laptop and was happy to find that the Windows 10 calendar would sync with my Google calendar. However, when I was about to dump my Mozilla Thunderbird calendar in favor of the Windows 10 Mail and Calendar, I discovered the Windows 10 Calendar doesn't show any of the events on my Google calendar that are shared to me from other calendars.

This mashtips link assumes that the user has a hotmail calendar and syncs with that. I do not have a hotmail calendar and do not want or need one. I just would like the Mail & Calendar app to properly sync with my Google calendar the way every other calendar program that syncs with Google calendars already knows how to do, and that is to include all the shared calendar events as well. Is this possible?

mbratch, Not sure if you still check this post but I was having the same issue. I hit this post during my search for help and I have found a solution and thought I should post it here since its the top google search for this issue. I found the solution here but the gist of the fix is as simple as going to https://calendar.google.com/calendar/syncselect and select the calendars to sync. It took a little bit for it all to sync but I now have access to all my other calender's from google calendar.

    Hope this helps.

Thanks for that tip. I went to the link and found I didn't have the shared calendars checked. So I checked them and saved. It actually took quite a while (10 minutes?) for it to finally realize that there were events to sync, but it seems to have done it!

Syncing windows 10 calendar and gmail calendar + Inviting someone

I was having trouble syncing windows 10 calendar and gmail calendar + Inviting someone and I-net directions were not clear enough for me so here is what I did:
    1. Only use yourEMaddress@gmail.com under yourEMaddress@gmail.com. Helpful to make sure ALL other calendars are closed.
    2. When adding to an event make sure to choose only yourEMaddress@gmail.com under yourEMaddress@gmail.com – NOT Outlook or related calendars & no Contacts or Holidays under yourEMaddress@gmail.com.
    3. Make sure what you post on phone or PC is posted in both places. Phone should work fine to PC but to see it you must be in yourEMaddress@gmail.com. To post to phone only do #1 & 2 above.
