Restore system from Macrum Reflex (free) files on removable drive

Suppose I use Macrum Reflex and create an image on a removable hard drive of Windows 10 and all settings that are on my C hard drive. If the computer is in such a state that it will not boot up, How do I restore what I have on the removable hard drive to the C hard drive? Do I just copy the Macrum created folder to the C hard drive and then reboot? Do I have to place this Macrum Reflex created image on a DVD and then boot from the DVD?
Thank you for any assistance. I am at a loss on how to proceed in case I have a disaster situation occur.

Macrium RefleCT. You should create a bootable CD/DVD or USB drive (from within Macrium - see Other Tasks on its menu bar) that you can boot from (Macrium will tell you to test that it boots after creating) BEFORE this happens. Then you would boot from this media to a Macrium Reflect interface and direct the restore of the image on the removable HDD on to the C drive (whether C drive is still good, or has been replaced).

However, for more comprehensive protection, you should image your entire DISK (hidden partitions and all) in order to be able to do an entire disk restore, not just the partition with your C: drive on it.

Macrum RefleCT Instead of Macrum Reflex

Thanks for the advice. Sorry I used the wrong name to describe the product.

Thanks for the rep, by the way, you're very welcome, and NO apology necessary - from my forum name you might surmise I'm a little fixated on proof-reading. No matter, I'm neither a perfect speller nor a grammar freak. Just know that it will make any googling work better for you.:)
