Need help getting rid of scanner radio software

I had PSREdit 500 software installed. There was a new firmware update for scanner. The sub Firmware looks fine but, The main Firmware shows the correct number but looks like a PSREdit file? That PSREdit file doesn't even go with this particular scanner it goes to a different one/brand. I flashed firmware to scanner it works but, there has to be corruption of some kind. At the least, it's probably suffering in some way. I uninstalled the PSREdit 500 software. I don't see how it's showing up on my firmware unless, it did not fully uninstall. Any good registry cleaners that might find and remove any traces of the program? I tried one it found 2 files and removed them. It diddn't tell what they were for but, it didn't work. Thanks for all suggestions. This is a Uniden sds200 model scanner radio

Caveat- note that I don't understand the context as I've not dealt with anything like that device.
Therefore I will only address your concern about being sure software is completely uninstalled.
This advice has been given many times.

You might be aware of program uninstallers such as
    Geek Uninstaller
    Revo Uninstaller

    These function like this.
    a. Run the program's normal uninstaller
    b. Perform an additional scan to detect leftover registry keys, and files and folders.

    You have uninstalled the program.
The recommended approach now is perhaps non-intuitive but is entirely logical given what I've said.

    a. Reinstall the program
    b. Install one or other 3rd party uninstaller (the free version is fine).
    c. Run the uninstaller and select your radio program.
    d. Start the uninstallation from the 3rd part uninstaller.
    e. Let that complete.
    f. If it prompts you to restart- don't.
    g. Continue to let the 3rd party uninstaller perform its scan.
    h. Review what it finds and offers for deletion.
    i. Let it delete found remnants.
    j. Restart as appropriate.

I don't understand your question, it's not well worded and I'm a scanner hobbyist for over 20 years. You may want to try radioreference.com

Something about firmware leaving remnants on the PC? I don't understand that. What's sub firmware? Where did you get the firmware file to begin with? Did you even scan it at VirusTotal? Uploading the wrong firmware will brick your scanner.

Word your post better please. That way I can better help.
