Strange:+ Not Getting Completion Pop-Up After Quick Formats

I was cleaning up some spare partitions and did a Quick Format to make sure the drives were clean and was surprised when it failed to indocate that QF was finished..
Tried it twice to be sure, still no pop-up. I only have Defender active and Malwarebytes Pro turned off. I use the latter to do a scan once a week, then shut it completely down.
Coincidentally Microsoft Store has vanished once again along with several apps I rely on.
It's strange in that there has not been a major update for a while and everything was fine yesterday.

    Edition Windows 10 ProVersion 22H2
    Installed on ‎21/‎12/‎22OS build 19045.3803
    Experience Windows Feature
    Experience Pack 1000.19053.1000.0

    19045.3803 - same as mine.

there has not been a major update for a while
    - if you mean a feature update - none is expected for Win 10 now.

    everything was fine yesterday.
    - you could try using a restore point.

Coincidentally Microsoft Store has vanished once again along with several apps I rely on.
    - something to do with the way your system is configured/some 3rd party program... my Store is fine..

If still problems after using a restore point, you could try the Store apps troubleshooter e.g.

After doing a repair install via an in-place upgrade using an ISO it seems OK now although there are some reboots to go I see MSW Store is installing.. Sys Restore was no good the latest date was last April. I'll remedy that asap.

    !!!

    - something wasn't working...

There's a tutorial on creating one on a schedule- I have one created daily. Used very very occasionally.

Have you done a routine check on your disk (s) ? (Crystal Diskinfo, Hard Disk Sentinel)?

And do you use 3rd party disk imaging routinely?

    To consider:
    a. System restore doesn't help if your registry is corrupt or SR fails to complete, or in some cases if your PC is unbootable

    b. Imagine your system disk failed. How old would your backup be?

A good use of disk imaging is to have on a single external disk
    - an initial full image
    - a rotating set of e.g. differential images, limited automatically in number by rules you set in creating the first image

    Thus if you have
    1 full image

    and n differential images

You have n+ 1 possible dates to which to restore your imaged partitions.

Or you could use incremental imaging- or even a combination.

Creating incremental or diff'l images is faster than the full initial image.

Having that on a safely stored offline disk means you can recover if
    - your PC is infected
    - your imaged disk fails
    - your PC is stolen or destroyed
    etc

    SR and imaging are complementary.

If your last image/clone is months old, well, recovery could be hard.

But you've probably thought about all that.

There's a rumour that Stardock's Start11 which I use might be silently clashing with MSWStore. How I don't know but I've told them and heard nmothing back.

    You could of course try

    Creating a restore point then
    a. Disabling its startup
    and if no change
    b. Uninstalling it

See if you then get the Store back.

Use the restore point and you're back as you were..
