    Windows media player

How is it possible with all the brain power it took to develop Win10 I cannot move a .wav file to Windows Media Player?

When I right click the file the first thing I see is Add to Windows Media Player, but it doesn't.

    "move"?

    - Do you mean "play"?
    - "Add to Windows Media Player list" - i.e. it's Now playing list, the pane on the right-hand side when you click on the Play tab there.

Do these wav files play if you double-click on them? [or right-click, Open with, WMP if necessary]

I use WMP on my computers and .wav files work fine, have it listed in Start, W section, Windows Accessories.

yes 2 clicks and they play....the issue is I have 15 on the WMP play list...but I can't add another.

Add to windows media player doesn't work nor does "open" with windows media player.

I suppose I'll have to burn the 15 to a CD and try to find some other way to burn the other one to it. Seems silly.

In WMP and the expanded list on the right I have 74 items playlist for 7.9 hours playing time. The total file sizes for the folder is 505MB.

Just for information, these songs were copied from half a dozen CDs that were given me when the owner died and part of my cleaning them up. He was disabled and not much to do to occupy his time.

Perhaps that 16th file is defective. Try right-click, Open with and choose Groove or indeed any other media player.

In order to get better help . . .

[1] What do you mean by No luck?
[2] Were there any errors, and if so, what were they?
[3] What exactly happened, or didn't happen?

    . . .etc.

I meant the suggestion to use Groove music. But never mind. I installed WMP 12 and managed to get my file into WMP. Only problem now is the new file plays and assumes the title "haygoods_chili_palace" and "haygoods_chili_palace" doesn't play at all.

I give up. Years ago when I was recording my songs this was easy?

What is the name of the new file? Is the music/content the same as what should be in the displayed name of "haygoods_chili_palace"? Do you get the same in VLC or Groove? If the name of the file is incorrect for the content you could have some infection on the computer.
