    Can't Uninstall EaseUS UPDATE SERVICE

I have Windows 10, 22H2 and I recently uninstalled the EaseUS Data Recovery Wizard successfully. There are no other EaseUS applications on my computer. The EaseUS UPDATE SERVICE remains running on my computer and is not seen under uninstall programs or under apps and features, or the windows search bar. Its the only component that seems to remain from EaseUS. I would like to uninstall this service as there is nothing for it to update. Can someone direct me as to how to uninstall the EaseUS UPDATE SERVICE?
    Thank you.

Reinstall the EaseUS program, then use REVO uninstaller (free) to uninstall it... AND do the scan for leftovers.

I use a 3rd party uninstaller routinely when uninstalling programs. Why? Because a program's uninstaller is only as effective as the author's ability and care in creating it.

This leads to leftovers in the registry, sometimes files, folders.

I happen to use Geek Uninstaller for this because it's a bit faster to populate than Revo- just more convenient in this instance. There are others- the choice is yours. Most offer a free and a licensed version.

This should be relatively easy to do without all the BS software. Try to follow along...

First, you need the name of the service. See image below.

    Now run this elevated command:

    Code:
    sc stop [Service name]
So if the service name was "dumb service, it be:
    Code:
    sc stop "dumb service"
You have to use quotes if the serve name is two words.

Now delete the bugger with this:

    Code:
    sc delete [service name]

To run an elevated command prompt, type CMD in Windows search, right click CMD and run as Admin.

(Note: You probably can't delete a Windows service, so don't try pulling a "stupid").

    You haven't understood something.

If there's 1 leftover.. what else is there?

Your idea completely misses that point.

And criticising posts using terms like
This should be relatively easy to do without all the BS software.
(guessing at your acronym) is inappropriate - and in this instance- WRONG.

The OP is asking how to uninstall the service, nothing more, nothing less....

If they want to use software and remove more than the service, then I already made a post about that here: Revo uninstaller's behaviour has changed

My thanks to those who responded with the above suggestions.
I did a little poking around after reading post #4, to find a link that describes that same method as well as the method of simply deleted the registry key for the service. I did the latter, and after a reboot the service no longer showed up. The files seen under C:\Program Files (x86)\EaseUS remained still. I renamed the directory with a “.bak” and if all is good after a few days, I’ll delete that directory. There are no EaseUS components installed on the computer so I should be safe. I had been getting weekly errors tied to the exe file in the mentioned directory, so with the service gone now, I expect this is resolved.
Thanks again for the guidance and feel free to comment if the path I’m on should be changed or if I've got something wrong.

You're safe to just delete it. I had it installed on this laptop. (technician 2023 version) and had to manually remove a few leftovers revo pro missed. Data recovery software tends to sink it's teeth in deep. Nature of the beast. I keep weekly full system back up's so data recovery software is more or less useless to me anyway. I just wanted to test it.
